Six Senses Zighy Bay

Set between the mountains and a 1.6-kilometre private beach on Zighy Bay, this village-style resort offers luxury villas with private pools and Six Senses Spa, a comprehensive spa and wellness center including Moroccan hammams.

Modern gourmet cuisine is served at Sense on the Edge, located 293 meters above the sea level, and presenting panoramic views over the Gulf of Oman. Zighy bar offers a relax ambiance for chill out or to enjoy the selection of tapas while wine cellar offer guests a wide range of wine selections.

Six Senses Zighy Bay features extra large villas in traditional Omani style, complemented by flat-screen TVs, home theatre systems and poolside dining areas. Some villas have a wine cellar, and private massage rooms.

The staff at Six Senses organise several daily activities, including snorkeling excursion, sunset cruises and cooking classes. Guests can train at the gym, or play a game of tennis with friends.

The most relaxing weekend stay

The staff is extremely professional and made our stay very pleasant. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting, the water is crystal clear and you can literally swim amongst giant turtles. The food and drinks are exceptional in every restaurant. We stayed for 2 nights only but there were so many options that we couldn’t try all the restaurants. Our favorite was the Sense on the Edge which not only has a breathtaking view of the bay but the dishes are gorgeous and service is fantastic. This is a must-try during your stay.

Beautiful property and location. The service was excellent. Restaurant setup could be less busy and chaotic

The place is wonderful. However very expensive, it is absolutely Perfect. Perfect food, perfect pools, perfect rooms, perfect GEM, mr feroz, who made my stay even more special.

Very kind and helpful staff Beautiful location Super clean beach It was a nice surprise by the hotel putting some candles and a crack for our anniversary

- Some items in the room are aged and needed maintenance, like noisy AC, beach door jam, a burn bulb, etc… - Would be nice if the hotel can serve cold beverages in the afternoon at the beach area as there were none - Would recommend to put some fresh water showers in the beach area It might not sound a big deal but for the value of money I was looking for a perfection

Everything was great as expected, a really beautiful getaway!

Everything was great as expected, a really beautiful getaway! The beach was amazing and the villa was beautiful. I loved the delicious fresh ice cream by the beach. The location was breathtaking and the staff were very friendly. A great place for a quiet and quick getaway from the outside world since the resort is very secluded in its location.

My only disappointment was in the food. I was looking forward to trying the restaurant on the top but the menu was a set menu and it was Japanese cuisine, which wasn't really something our group likes. I just wish there was an option for more diverse food something that more people can agree on. I also wish the water activities included more options like banana float rides and such.

Absolute bliss!

This was our second time at Six Senses and again we fell in love with the place. The setting is simply stunning and the resort operates with consideration towards the environment. You don't get the noise and fuel pollution some other sea resorts have from boats and water sports. It's calm, serene and relaxing. The villas are beautifully and simply decorated and very comfortable and spacious. It really is a unique place!

it's more an observation rather than criticism but we noticed a few things that could do with being replaced and fixed. Hopefully they'll use the quiet summer months to do a bit of maintenance and tidying up around the resort. i.e One of the sun loungers in our villas was half broken, the table with the umbrella had some nails sticking out and being rather hazardous for little children...Nothing that would spoil your amazing experience though!

The room layout but not comfort and not worth the price compared to similar other resorts

The smell of the room, old humidity as if not used for months. Value for money. Very expensive food, room service, room price for what it offers compared to other similar resorts

Most relaxing week I’ve had in years!

This is an amazing hidden gem. The villas are superb and even though we visited during Ramadan, all expectations were met with regard to catering to western cultures. Every member of staff is helpful and courteous and stop for a chat. The breakfast is fantastic. Pastries are amazing - try the almond financiers!

I suppose if i’m to be picky I would like to have more selection of Omani weaves/rugs/traditional jewellery etc available at the boutique

Overpriced for what it is...,you don’t get the feeling like you are in Oman... you could really go anywhere to stay in beautiful resort on the beach... expected for this trip to be more special and more activities outside of the resort... it’s ok if you are just looking to be in a resort and relax... but not really place for people who want to see a bit more than just great views and ocean...

A remote haven.

Breakfast was excellent and choices were unusual and very tasty. Food throughout was excellent - ambiance wonderful. Location magical.

Welcome and departure were poor - no one there to welcome us at the door and no one saw us off. Bed was too hard, quality of mattress thin. Room cleaning was good but no detail in folding towels etc, one day very poorly cleaned. We didn't realise we could have had a European package which would have been better value had it been offered. It seemed that many guests were on this plan and breakfasts were expensive!
